Dear Paygoo Customers,

Your Paygoo card will be temporarily suspended with immediate effect. Please be assured, we expect to be up and running again shortly, but it may take a few days. Your money and card details held at Paygoo are safe and secure.

This has happened because the Financial Conduct Authority* has this morning suspended its permission for Wirecard Card Solutions Limited (the company who currently issues Paygoo Cards) to operate, without prior notice. This action is not related to Paygoo - but Paygoo depends on Wirecard for operation of the Paygoo card.

What it means for Paygoo & our customers:

Paygoo depends on Wirecard for operational support, which means your Paygoo Card will be temporarily suspended.

Here are a few things we can tell you before you ask:

You can still access your account.
You’ll be able to access your Paygoo account via the website and view all your existing account information.
You won’t need a new card.
Once we’re up and running again, we anticipate that you will be able to continue to use your existing card.
Refunds may be delayed.
We are currently unable to process refunds. When we are back up and running, we intend to address refunds as a priority.

This means that Paygoo sales and use are temporarily suspended.

As this situation affects many MasterCard programs across Europe it is expected that the program should resume shortly.

Wirecard Card solutions is a separate legal entity, and all cardholder funds are secured and safeguarded in accounts in the UK (Barclays bank plc) ”
